The best app four travel and tourism

I used Ulmon the first time for a New York trip and now for London. It is awfully good! One App fits all.

Works without internet connection. You can mark sites, find your position and search for streets/places while being offline.

I downloaded this app before my recent trip to London (for the first time) and as I didnt have access to my Internet account without exorbitant roaming charges, it proved to be very useful. The key-word search worked well and it linked to the nearest tube stain, which proved most helpful. I had to reboot it a few time as it seemed to get stuck, but I had it up and running in no time. If I could turn back the clock, I would have also subscribed to the BTOpen (?) wifi service; together, I am sure these two services would satisfy any first time Londoners travel information needs. Very good value for the money.

A god send while traveling in London. The passive GPS allows you to know where you are and even what direction you are walking without costly 3G or WiFi. This made our trips around London relaxing and enjoyable. One of the best travel apps ever!

Excellent functionality offline. Can search for restaurants, attractions and tube stops offline. Accurate maps. This was my 5th time in London, and the first time all my travel plans were seamless thanks to this app. I bookmarked all of my planned stops in blue for day 1, purple for day 2, and so on. I added my own notes about hours and admission costs. Top rating!

This is the only one I have showing the physical layout of the tube and trains. The normal graphic layout is usually enough but when Im trying to find a station near a particular area of London having the physical layout is a real help.

Excellent app. I am using it currently on my London vacation trip. I have come to London first time in life and this app has helped me a lot. I did not use any other map with this app on my iPhone. Most useful feature is info regarding nearest metro station. I did not use taxi even for a single day.

The Ulmon guides are all great! I used them for Vienna, Berlin, Vienna, and Rome and I loved using all of them. The massive advantage to the London app is that you can check out the nearest tube station to whatever point you reference (even offline). The GPS is quite accurate as well when you are within the city and not in a tunnel. Love this app!!!
